Do you say words weird?
Read the following words out loud and see how you say them.
1) Tuesday
2) Taco
3) Nacho
4) Garage
5) Cement
6) Tiger
7) Crayon
8) Herb
Now here's how I say them followed by the WRONG way to say them:
1) Twos-Day / Choose-day
2) Taw-ko / Tahh-ko
3) Naw-Cho / Nah-Cho
4) Ga-Raw-Je (like the french) / Gradge
5) Se-Ment / Sment
6) Tie-Ger / Tay-Ger
7) Cray-On / Crown
8) Erb / HERb
And that concludes our study... If you say any of those different than I do... I'd work on that... PSHAW FOR NOW BITCHES!
CHOOSE-DAY!
ANYWAYS! Yeah, so I went to Breakfast at White Spot with the mother and sister annnnnd ate... Then we went to the mall annnnnnd shopped (I got myself a nice black hoodie from Old Navy, but might return it... haven't yet decided)... then I dropped them off at the movies while I went and bought a cake for my friend's b-days tomorrow (Larissa and Terrill, yeah, both on New Years Eve :D) So I got the cake (white ice cream) and some decorating things and TRIED to decorate it but it looked rubbish, so I smeared it all off and might just make it say "Happy Birthday Bitches" or something... MHLARG!!!
Besides that... nothing much happened today... I plan on going to dinner with the mother (she's staying tonight again and leaving tomorrow) and probably reading the remaining 4 Sherlocks shorts I have in the first part of the book... before the BIG thing happens that I'm not supposed to know about, but do thanks to the introduction to the book where they laid out not only what happens there, but how it's remedied in the next book. Seriously! If you DO decide to read the books don't look into them... It would be a LOVELY surprise (kind of) had I not known, whatever, I'll cry anyways, I'm sure!
OH GOD! There's this WONDERFUL Sherlock Holmes story called "The Adventure of the Yellow Face" (click there to read it) and it made me CRYYYYYYY, it's such a SWEET SWEET SWEET story with one of my favorite endings!
Anyways loves! I'm heading out for din-din with my mother (and now my father is joining too) so I'll leave you with this song...

Visit from the Parents...
My cousin, who spoils me GREATLY, bought me a 25 dollar gift card to the movies (I smell a date :P...) and a really nice cute set of Joe (Superstore) Pyjamas :D
My parents gave me money (always nice when you've just purchased a laptop and paid a speeding ticket) and a picture collage of my cat (who also joined them for the visit out) They then took my sister and I to dinner and we had a wonderful time!
My computer was being a NOISY bitch for the past month and a half, so I FINALLY picked up some air canisters and cleaned it out, much better now! I also picked up a nice little laptop case :P
I'd take pictures and post them (I know, I'm pathetic!) but my sister took the camera earlier to take pictures of her crafts and is now asleep in bed.
I think I'll head there soon too! YAAAAAAAWN! But first I need to do my pushups and crunches. I'm going to TRYYYYY and do them every second or third day. I've been doing them at least 2 times a week for the past 3 weeks and SWEAR I can see changes, although it's probably all in my head :( Whatevs! I'm going to hot myself up! I'm determined now to have a semi-nice body for at least once in my life, and when I get determined, I usually SUCCEED!
Adios for now lovelies and have a wonderful night!

Interesting Article on the "12 Days of Christmas"
So Christopher (I know, I mention that bitch a lot, but he just brings a lot of interesting facts to the table and is kind of important to me, so don't bitch!) posted on his facebook today to have a good 4th day of Christmas, I thought it was funny and started listing off the days in my head from the song... Then realized I had forgotten the actual placement of a lot of the gifts... So I went to look up the lyrics and came across this: http://www.cresourcei.org/cy12days.html which gives some awesome insight into the origins of the song and the Christian meanings in the lyrics...
Yeah, totally random, I know, but I thought it was cool, so you should too!
Pshaw!
Siiiiiiiigh! I was bored earlier and speaking to Christopher when I said I didn't know what to do to rid myself of this boredum... He reminded me I had a perfectly good Christmas present from him waiting to be read.
"HAZAA!" I replied (not really, but wish I had)... I picked up the book, but decided I should eat first...
After a discussion about what I should eat (Apples? Eggs? Toast? Bacon?) We decided I should eat an Omlette. I screwed it up though and ended up with what I called an "Egg Stir Fry" which Christopher calls "Scrambled Eggs" (I never put Cheese or Veggies in my scrambled eggs, so I think I shall stick to "Egg Stir Fry")
Anyways, so I ate my "Egg Stir Fry" and picked up my gorgeous "The Complete Sherlock Holmes Treasury" and read 2 more stories from it. In one of them (The Adventure of the Copper Beeches) The great Sherlock said one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE WORDS: "PSHAW"... I died!
After I was resurrected I decided to write this post to honour the man even further! Thank you Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and thank you Christopher for this wonderful book and this wonderful man! SIIIIIIIIGH and SWOOOOOOON!
To further the Pshaw post it reminded me of one of my favorite YouTubers: Scotty Vanity (http://www.youtube.com/user/getstacy)!
So, here's 2 samples of this fabulous boy and his hot music!

And let's add this in just because I was reminded by the "Let's Go to the Mall" title...
Let's Go to the Mall - Robin Sparkles
(From How I Met Your Mother)
QUICK UPDATE: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/pshaw AWWW! It's actually in the dictionary! Am I the only one that finds this adorable?

Sorry/Grateful
You're always grateful
You're always wondering what might have been
Then she walks in
And still you're sorry
And still you're grateful
And still you wonder
And still you doubt
And she goes out
Everything's different
Nothing's changed
Only maybe slightly rearranged
You're sorry-grateful
Regretful-happy
Why look for answers
Where none occur?
You always are
What you always were
Which has nothing to do with
All to do with her
You're always sorry
You're always grateful
You hold her thinking
I'm not alone
You're still alone
You don't live for her
You do live with her
You're scared she's starting
To drift away
And scared she'll stay
Good things get better
Bad get worse
Wait, I think I meant that in reverse
You're sorry-grateful
Regretful-happy
Why look for answers
Where none occur
You'll always be
What you always were
Which has nothing to do with
All to do with her
Nothing to do with
All to do with her
And that's Sondheim again... He masterfully crafted this song "Sorry/Grateful" for his show "Company"... It's truly amazing how much humanity the man can put into one song... It perfectly captures a relationships fears, doubts, love and disdain, don't you think?
I watched the special features of the Company DVD of the 2006 Broadway Revival Cast and fell more in love with Sondheim... I hope I can someday shake that man's hand and thank him for his words and music!
With Love,
Tyrel
PS - Babes, Here's the video:
Christmas Day...
I didn't go to sleep til 8am this morning, got up at 2pm, read random wiki pages for a bit then decided I wanted Denny's breakfast. I asked Angela if she'd like to go and she said yes... so off we went to Denny's only to find that it closed at 3:30pm :( So we drove around looking at all the closed restaurants before settling on a pub. The pub didn't have food though :( so we went two stores down to a pizza place... Then I came home and didn't know WHAT to do. I was going to read some more Sherlock Holmes, but then I saw the copy of Grendel by John Gardner on my bookshelf and remembered it was Christopher's Christmas Recommendation that it be read... So I sat down with it and read the whole thing start to finish.
It was wonderful! When I first started I wasn't overly impressed because I found it a little bit whiney, but then once I got to Chapter Two and he encountered humans I couldn't stop reading. OH! I guess I should let you know what that is...
Grendel is a book by John Gardner and it's a retelling of Beowulf from Grendel's point of view. Grendel is an emo-monster who ponders the meaning of existence as he kills off the humans who think he's a bad guy when he's only trying to communicate with them... Umm, it may sound weird (and it is!) but I'd definately recommend giving it a read, it's short and full of many quotes you can ponder about...

Can't sleep... Christmas Treats for ye!
First Love: Sherlock Holmes
Christopher and I were out wandering and I mentioned to him that I'd always wanted to read "Sherlock Holmes" but would need them all to do so (because this is what I do)... Then BAM! 3 weeks later, it's Christmas time and what do I recieve from him? The Complete Sherlock Holmes Treasury... In all honesty, this is possibly the sweetest most thoughtful gift anyone has ever gotten me. I'm a big believer in listening to people for clues as to what they like/dislike/want but usually other people don't do that. Siiiiiiiiigh! People usually go for some gift card to Future Shop or something to that effect, which is nice and still thoughtful... but this, this says something very sweet...
ANYWAYS! So he gave it to me and, after swooning over the sweetness that is Christopher, I started reading it right away that very night... The stories are truly wonderful and Sherlock is one of my latest fictional crushes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherlock_holmes read up on him and his adventures then get yourself a copy today :D
Next love: Sailor Moon Abridged!
Sailor Moon Abridged (http://www.sailormoonabridged.com/) is a fandub series where a group of friends have gotten together and redubbed Sailor Moon episodes and cut them down to be around 7-10 mins long with wonderful hilarity throughout! The group plays with the sillyness of the North American dub of the series and the plotholes throughout. The characters often comment on how stupid situations are and the personalities are played up top notch! It's wonderful! WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL!!!
Next Love: Richard Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen
Opera is a fairly new love affair of mine. My interests dabbled in it slightly in High School, but it wasn't until I went to La Boheme that I took a more keen interest in it. I'd been meaning to have a look into Wagner and his epic 4-part opera Der Ring Des Nibelungen for quite some time... then I met Christopher, who is a huge lover of Wagner, so it was the perfect opportunity. Christopher was kind enough to lend me his copy of The Copenhagen Ring Cycle on DVD so I sat down to watch it... And let me tell you... it's AMAAAAAAZING! The story is astounding and I'm going to go as far to say it's the greatest story ever told!
Read about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Ring_des_Nibelungen Seriously! On the surface you may read the words of what the story is... but if you REALLY look into it and THINK about everything that is happening you'll find complexities that could be studied for years and years. Each character and event can have hundreds of papers written on them. It's really...
No, just look into it, please! It's wonderful! I'll probably post lots on the subject in the near future, so be prepared. I keep developing more and more theories about it and... Yeah, you'll see...
Next Love: Comics - Randoms - Drawn by me way back...
I was boredly going through old notes and stuff of mine online and came across this: http://talesofaninjun.comicgenesis.com/Randoms/ it's random poorly drawn comics and stories I did years ago... They make little to no sense and are truly RANDOM... I love reading stuff that I wrote long ago because I forget all about it and wonder "WHAT WAS I THINKING?" I remember the Rodney drawings are things I drew in a friend's workbook in Film Class in Grade 12... The Super Deformed Cherry Blossom Rod Hour is a 4 part comic I drew based on those... Sick Tony I drew... not sure why, Anthony was sick? And Sensual Dreamin' was making fun of a few things in Writing 12 class, mainly jargon and psuedo-theories in other's works. I don't know, I thought they were funny to re-read...
And so another year closes...
Hmmm, well I was reading through old notes and posts on my myspace blog and decided it's time to write again!
So, here goes...
Nostalgia hit hard about 2 hours ago. I was sitting here, minding my own business flipping through random profiles on facebook (some might call "stalking") when I was suddenly hit with a feeling of loneliness. I shrugged my shoulders and continued stalking... Then I realized it's Christmas and this is what you're doing... all alone.
I then realized 2008 comes to an end next week and thought back on all the stuff that happened this year... Too much stuff. I can probably name 3 big things from each month this year that have made a huge impact on who I am and I'll always remember them... for better or worse...
Oh well, a new year approaches and I have high hopes for this one! I leave you with "I Know Things Now" by Stephen Sondheim from the Musical "Into the Woods"
I KNOW THINGS NOW
Mother said,
"Straight ahead,"
Not to delay
or be misled.
I should have heeded
Her advice...
But he seemed so nice.
And he showed me things
Many beautiful things,
That I hadn't thought to explore.
They were off my path,
So I never had dared.
I had been so careful,
I never had cared.
And he made me feel excited-
Well, excited and scared.
When he said, "Come in!"
With that sickening grin,
How could I know what was in store?
Once his teeth were bared,
Though, I really got scared-
Well, excited and scared-
But he drew me close
And he swallowed me down,
Down a dark slimy path
Where lie secrets that I never want to know,
And when everything familiar
Seemed to disappear forever,
At the end of the path
Was Granny once again.
So we wait in the dark
Until someone sets us free,
And we're brought into the light,
And we're back at the start.
And I know things now,
Many valuable things,
That I hadn't known before:
Do not put your faith
In a cape and a hood,
They will not protect you
The way that they should.
And take extra care with strangers,
Even flowers have their dangers.
And though scary is exciting,
Nice is different than good.
Now I know:
Don't be scared.
Granny is right,
Just be prepared.
Isn't it nice to know a lot!
And a little bit not...
If you don't know of the show still... I highly recommend it. And REALLY think about the lyrics... they work as pieces to assist the plot of course, but each has so much humanity in it... UGH! He's a wonderful man!

Stupid Girl
Anyways though, for the past 3 Saturdays I've been filming episodes of Stupid Girl and posting them. Enjoy!
Chapter 3 - Men Suck!
Meh. Hopefully I'll get around to doing one every Saturday... Well for a little while at least. Series 1 ends I think after like Episode 6?
Meh, so I've decided to blog again...
Haven't been blogging in over a year. I've decided to start again though. I used to blog on Myspace, but that has become a desolate wasteland in present times and everytime I venture there I feel a chill up my spine that tells me to get out before "they" come...
Anyways, I'm Tyrel Boelsma. I live in Surrey, BC and go to film school (just did 2 years of Capilano College and am about to start Vancouver Film School). I spend my free time doing nothing but watching television and movies, reading and writing, or sitting around doing absolutely nothing.
Here you'll be able to follow my boring existence if you'd like and I'll keep you up to date on everything I've watched, read, or created. Seriously, I mainly just talk about myself and my own opinions on things, so enjoy... if you can...
Au Revoir for now!
